Morning! Can someone shed some light on the throttle position sensor(TPS). I've read a few discussions about how to adjust it and looks like a real P.I.T.A.
The spec's I've seen are .58, .59, and .60. Tuneecu on my bike is showing.68. Is it worth the trouble to make the adjustment? What am I gaining by
removing the throttle body to achieve a number that stops my brain form wondering if I should do this or not.

Thanks for reading

With a reading of .68v, what are the bikes symptoms? That is a high reading, .6v is the number to aim for and yes it is fiddly to do but can be done without removing the assembly. You will need a long 6 or 8mm ( can't recall which atm) open ended spanner and a longish flat blade screwdriver to lever the switch either way once it has been loosened. I chose a cheap spanner from my tools and welded an extension on it, patience is required. Obviously the fuel tank needs to come off so you can approach from the top.

Hmmm....perhaps that's part of the question as well. I don't have any experience with electronic fueled bikes. I can not identify any symptoms.Motor pulls hard in all gears idles at 950ish, and fires right up. Some after burn bangs, but that may be all.. I'm not sure what I should be experiencing. All I have is a number in tuneeuc and now your input that the number is out of spec and should be addressed. Appreciate the feed back and instruction, I built my 69 so I am mechanically inclined, but must admit electronic influenced motors intimidate me....

Oddly enough.....scrolling through some other post I came across "checking TPS " by "daz" He's listed detailed information about the specs in tuneecu. According to his experience it appears my TPS is in the correct range. This is good news and explains why I was unable to identify any symptoms, because I wasn't having any!
